Branding for Designers
LinkedIn Learning Session
'Branding for Designers'
For this weeks LinkedIn Learning Course I have chosen to further my education in branding, as I have now set up both my website and Instagram account and would like there to be a cohesive theme. Learning about branding could also help me in the future with packaging props and graphics.
I believe the course has assisted me in understanding the finer points of establishing a recognisable aesthetic. This is something I now hope to put into play through my own work. In order to do this I will start by selecting a limited number of fonts that I will use throughout my website, CV and digital portfolio. In the future I will also include it on business cards, although this isn't an area I'm looking to venture into just yet. The fonts I have selected include: 'Fredericka the Great' and the 'Playfair' family. By selecting a large 'family' of fonts it will allow me to do differentiate headings, text and buttons, whilst still maintaining the overall cohesion. 'Families' of text are created for the purpose of not clashing yet being different.
Overall I found this course very helpful and look forward to putting some of the things I have learned into practice.
