LinkedIn Learning: Improve your drawing skills

Over the past few years I’ve recognised that with the practice of technical and digital drawing, I’ve fallen out of practice with my free hand drawing skills. I’m now less confident in my abilities. A LinkedIn Learning, ‘Learning Path’ is a collection of courses dedicated to a similar outcome of self-improvement. This Learning Path’s focus is on refining illustrations and drawings by exploring additional sketching techniques through discovering the impact of line, tone, negative space and scale. My goal is to gain confidence in the free movement of hand drawings as well as exercising my creative thinking through the practice of sketching. The courses also address constructing perspective as well as creating vectors, two specific areas I require improvement in.

Instead of using the exercise files provided I intend to utilise my own materials. I hope that this works in instilling just how useful hand drawing can be in the progression of ideas, for future work.
