Week 15: Update

This week my goal is to complete as many relevant Salford Advantage sessions as I can. I think that with my focus firmly on LinkedIn Learning Courses I’ve abandoned the Salford Advantage aspect of this module for too long. I’m now hindered by the fact we’re in an additional National Lockdown and will be for the foreseeable future. My hope is that I will be able to find Advantage sessions that will benefit me in some fashion however it has come to my attention that there is a lack of sessions running right now due to Covid.

Update:

Whilst I was attending my first Salford Advantage session of this week, titled How to Bounce Back and Build Resilience, I received a message from Adelina Court, my lecturer for this module. The message was in response to me asking previously if it was possible to substitute my Advantage sessions with LinkedIn courses as I have been really struggling in finding Advantage sessions I would deem relevant to my work. Adelina has stated this won’t be a problem and that I can exercise a lot of flexibility due to the fact that it is hard currently to get on to Salford Advantage sessions particularly ones that are relevant. After receiving this I spoke to some of my peers and came to the realisation that we had all come to a similar conclusion bombarding our poor lecturer with a recurring question. I was relieved to know that I’m not the only one struggling with finding sessions and also that I’m not the only one still working on reaching my quota of work.
